Flibbertigibbet has been delighted to collaorate with Alive Activities to deliver some specially designed workshops in Care Homes across Bristol. Funded by Originators at Bristol City Council, Story Threads, Loves in Later Life, is a sensory experience exploring textures, colour and pattern of materials as story prompts for people living with dementia.  Jackets and headresses, unique to our own stories, by the wonderful Sarah Tranter at Blindspot Studio, allows us to engage with participants in a truthful and multi-facited way. Participants chose and arranged material to dress our tailor’s dummy – “Sandra” looks party ready today! Thank you to Quarry House and its residents for welcoming us in. More workshops next year.

THE FARMER AND THE CLOWN 2025!

We are so excited to be bringing The Farmer and The Clown out on tour next year! This beautiful wordless show is told with comedy, dance, puppets and live music. Based on the picture book by Marla Frazee, it was described as “inclusive and powerful!”, “a beautiful, simple, and charming piece of theatre, suitable for all…” , and has been created with Deaf Access, and Visual Language consultants, to welcome all audiences to enjoy the story of an old Farmer whose life is disrupted by the arrival of a baby Clown. Next year, we are travelling further afield, from the North East of the country, down to Cornwall. More details coming soon. We still have some dates available, if you would be interested for your venue, school, library or community centre, do get in touch. We hope to see you somewhere along the way!  https://www.flibbertigibbettheatre.co.uk
