“Flibbertigibbet Theatre is embarking on a Research and Development phase for a new show for children aged 4+ and is looking for a playful, physical performer with devising experience, whose first language is not English.

Hah! will be a theatrical adventure in language and sound with a cast of two performers and a sound artist. We are interested in exploring the performer relationship with audiences, in collecting and replaying different sounds and celebrating the musicality of speech. We are particularly interested in working with a performer whose mother tongue is based in a non-European language.

The R and D will take place over 2 weeks in June at the Half Moon Theatre in Tower Hamlets and will culminate in a special performance for children who have participated in an earlier exploratory workshop phase and whose recordings will form the basis of the devising sound score.

This is a partnership project with the Half Moon Theatre and funded by the Arts Council England”
